Dr. Ullrich's Biography
Dr. John J. Ullrich is a Northern Virginia native. Growing up he attended St. Leo’s and Paul VI High School in Fairfax. His interest in science technology led him to Virginia Tech, where he acquired a Biochemistry degree with honors. During college, Dr. Ullrich worked for dentists in the area during his free time. These experiences sparked his passion for the field. He proceeded directly from Virginia Tech to the Medical College of Virginia, where he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Ullrich is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Association.
Dr. Ullrich was featured in Washingtonian Magazine’s biannual “Top Dentists” issues in 2011 and 2013. He has also been voted a "Top Doc" by Washington Parent Magazine, selected as a Top Dentist in Leesburg by the International Association of Dentists, and was selected as one of "America's Top Dentists" by the Consumer Research Council of America. He stays up to date with the latest in dental technology, and is often seen at continuing education classes. His skillful delivery is always accompanied by a warm chair side manner. From kids to kids at heart, his philosophy revolves around treating every patient like a member of his own family. Dr. Ullrich has spent time as a volunteer at the Give Kids a Smile Program, M.O.M. Mission of Mercy Program, Richmond Christian Crossover Clinic, Roanoke Free Clinic, and the Lynchburg Free Clinic; always believing in giving back to the community.
Dr. Ullrich is married to his longtime friend and sweetheart Bridget; a first grade teacher in Reston. Together they reside in Loudoun County with their two dogs, Zeus and Duchess. Dr. Ullrich is an avid D.C. sport fan and enjoys outdoor activities in his free time.
